Virtual Services
Due to the Corona virus outbreak, we are not meeting face to face. We have virtual service on Sunday and Wednesday and are gathering online in groups for Bible Study, Intercessory Prayer, Sunday School, meetings, book club ZOOM.

Message from Pastor Jones on Reopening Church

The President has issued a statement naming churches as “essential” organizations, mandating they reopen over State regulations. I am urging pastors not to follow the politics of this President. God has placed us in position as watchmen (Isaiah 21:11-12). Protecting our people from the damaging consequences of Covid 19 should be our top priority, not the instruction of a modern day demagogue.

There is no one that longs for the restoration of congregational life than I do. However, I would not want the needless death of a parishioner on my heavenly resume. We shall open again, but not until there is reasonable assurance that the time is right and appropriate safety protocols are established. I pray for your wisdom and spiritual insight. “Watchman, what of the night…”

Sunday School!
With everyone social distancing, it’s going to be hard to make Sundays feel like Sundays or is it? Join UMBC for our online Virtual Sunday School Classes –Contemporary Adult, Combined Adult Class, Youth and some additional groups are being added. Stay tuned!

Class of 2020 Graduates and Scholarship Info!
UMBC will have a special salute to our Class of 2020 high school and college graduates on Saturday May 30th and Sunday May 31st.

Scholarship applications are coming also….More info will be shared shortly from UMBC Academic Excellence Ministry.

Small Groups!
There are many small groups meeting weekly – online. There’s Women’s Bible Study; Straight Talk and Bible Fellowship; Junior Church; Institute of Training Classes; Intercessory Prayer (AUDIO ONLY) ; Sunday School and more. Participants can see each other, talk, share information, ask questions, laugh and pray. Not in a small group at this time and want to be? Call the church office at 517-485-7705

Junior Church
On Sunday’s we have a dynamic junior church service for our youth. Our “JR. Church” is led by Minister . Chris Rollins.

Discussions are underway to talk about VBS/Youth Conference. What does it look like in the day and age of COVID-19? Is it possible? Watch for more information

Choir Looking to Connect?
You may have seen videos with rows of singers and musicians performing from their own homes and appearing in a choral video. Could this be coming to UMBC? Don’t know? Stay tuned!

Each One Reach One ….Check in on Seniors and Friends/Family Who Live Alone or Who Have Lost a Loved One Recently
Use Zoom, Skype, FaceTime, Group chat and other types of video calls to keep in touch with elderly relatives /neighbors/friends especially if they live alone. If video calls aren’t an option, call them.
