Volunteer Opportunity on Aug 8th

We need to complete a beautification and zoning project that began back in April on our church grounds!  Together we did an amazing job planting trees, but now we have to finish strong by planting shrubs in the same row with the trees.

The Plan:

With a layout provided by The Parks and Recreation, we need to plant

• Shrubs along the row of trees  as outlined by the Planning and Zoning staff.
• Shrubs west of the garage to meet our BZA requirements.

We Need Your Hands!

While the city is providing the layout, the “growth” part is up to us. We are looking for a team of volunteers to help us get these shrubs into the ground so we can complete the requirement of the city.

Who can help? Whether you have a green thumb or just don’t mind getting a little dirt on your shoes, we need you! This is a fantastic way for families, Rooted Cohorts, and long-time members to work side-by-side to leave a lasting legacy on our property.

When? Planting will take place  Saturday August 8 @ 8:30 a.m.

If you can volunteer, ’send an email to office@umbclansing.org with the subject “Count Me In”  to this email or call the church office at 517-485-7705 to be added to the group of volunteers and receive a reminder of that day.
