
Mission Ministry Requesting Food Donations for Community Pantry
A Message from UMBC’s Mission Ministry…
SITUATION: There are many people in the Lansing area who need help!
THE ASK: Please join the Union Mission Ministry in partnering with our neighbor —Grace Lutheran Church Outdoor Little Food Pantry Ministry.
- UMBC’s Mission Ministry will spearhead filling the outdoor ‘little food pantry’ on the first Wednesday of each month.
- We need donatiions of ready to eat – non-perishable food items.
- Please drop off your donations in the collection bin in the UMBC Welcome Center on Sundays before each first Wednesday.
Our 2025 UMBC Collection Dates:
- Donate by October 26 (for November 5th pantry restock date)
- Donate by November 30 (for December 3rd pantry restock date)
Examples of Ready to Eat Non-Perishable and Items with a Pull Tab or Ring Pull Are:
- Sardines
- Vienna Sausages
- Potted Meat
- Tuna and Crackers
- Chicken and Crackers
- Crackers with Peanut Butter
- Fruit Cups
- Apple Sauce
- Carton Juices
- Any ready to eat on the spot items that do not require refrigeration, need to be microwaved, and etc.
