Men’s Ministry News: Men’s Weekend is June 12-14

Our UMBC Men’s Weekend is set. Please mark your calendars and review the following detail:

  • Theme: “Renewing Our Strength: A Call to Wholeness” (Isaiah 40:31).

  • Our aim is to encourage Black men to focus on their well-being—mind, body, and spirit—by highlighting the importance of strength through faith, unity, and self-care as an act of worship.

  • Priotizing your health and care

Goal:  During this weekend, we aspire to inspire men to prioritize their health and faith, committing themselves to serve God, the church, and the community.

Friday, June 12 – 6 pm

Join us for a revival service at 6:00 PM, featuring guest preacher Dr. Daniel Smith, Pastor of Messiah Baptist Church in Grand Rapids, MI.

Saturday, June 13 9 am – 2 pm

On Saturday, Union will host the NAACP’s Black Men’s Health Fair from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.

We invite you to join the Lansing NAACP, Ingham County Health Department, and UMBC Men’s Ministry from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM for this inaugural event held at UMBC. For further details, please scan the QR code on this page.

Sunday, June 14  – 11 am Worship Service

We will conclude Men’s Weekend during our 11:00 AM Morning Worship Service on Sunday, featuring musical guests Chosen Sons and Daughter from Saginaw, MI, and guest preacher Dr. Keith Norman, Pastor of First Baptist-Broad in Memphis.
