The Capital City Baby Shower is a free event that provides families with all the essential baby items they might need. We firmly believe that no family should face difficulties in providing their newborns with basic necessities like clothes, diapers, car seats, and pack and plays. That’s why we’re dedicated to ensuring that families in the Lansing area have access to these crucial items. The event welcomes all families.
This baby shower presents a wonderful opportunity to bring together various churches, pregnancy centers, organizations, and businesses to celebrate life through love, support, and generosity. It’s a collaborative celebration in Lansing, designed to support men and women who are:
Facing an unexpected pregnancy
Questioning their ability to parent
Desiring encouragement, and/or
Needing items for their babies

How can monetary donations be made? Our Fiduciary is the East Community Action Center and there are three ways you can make donations, but you must note that the donations are for the Capital City Baby Shower

Where can I park? There is a surface parking lot available at the church.
What is the expected attendance? Over 100 families attended last year and we are predicting a similar turnout this year.
What types of resources and vendors will be on site? In addition to free baby essentials like diapers, wipes, bottles, formula, clothes, and more, we’ll also be providing a free lunch for all attendees. You’ll have the chance to connect with a variety of community vendors who will be offering helpful resources, support services, and giveaways at their tables. Be sure to stay until the end — we’ll be holding a raffle drawing with exciting prizes you won’t want to miss!
