REVEREND KENNY CRAIG

Native to Ripley, Tennessee, Pastor Kenny Craig has dedicated his life to the gospel since January 1999. For over 18 years, he faithfully led the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Dyer, Tennessee. Following this extensive tenure, he accepted a call to Union Missionary Baptist Church in Lansing, Michigan, in February 2023, officially beginning his leadership there that May. Beyond his ministry, Pastor Craig and his wife, Corrie, are the proud parents of seven children and the grandparents of three.

Academic Foundation

His commitment to service is matched by a strong educational background. After graduating from Ripley High School, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from the University of Tennessee at Martin and completed training at the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy. Later, in 2013, he furthered his theological expertise by earning a Master’s Degree in Christian Studies from Union University in Jackson, Tennessee.

Leadership and Service

Pastor Craig’s influence extends well beyond the local pulpit. He has held several prominent roles within the Obion River District Association, serving as Congress Dean, Congress President, and Vice-Moderator. Furthermore, his leadership reached the state level through the Tennessee Baptist Missionary & Educational Convention, where he served as State Director and Vice President of the Department of Christian Education. Nationally, he is recognized as a Certified Dean for the National Baptist Convention’s accreditation division.

Professional Experience and Authorship

In addition to his clerical work, Pastor Craig is a published author and a seasoned law enforcement professional. In 2017, he released his book, Interlopers: The Difficult People and Life Experiences That Prepare Us for Greater, which explores how God utilizes challenges to prepare believers for influence.

His diverse professional career spans 20 years in law enforcement, where he rose through the ranks from Deputy Sheriff and Criminal Investigator to Administrative Lieutenant. He eventually retired as an Administrative Captain at the historic Meharry Medical College in Nashville, where he managed campus operations for the Department of Safety and Security.

Lady Corrie Craig

A proud native of Jennings, Louisiana—and a devoted LSU Tigers fan—First Lady Corrie Craig considers it a profound honor to serve in ministry alongside her husband, Pastor Kenny Craig. Together, they have raised seven children and are the proud grandparents of three, who affectionately call her “Sunny.”

Educational Background & Civic Honors

Lady Corrie’s professional foundation is rooted in education. She holds a dual Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and General Studies, as well as a Master’s degree in Educational Administration and Leadership.

Her commitment to others extends deep into the community. Over the course of her career, she has been recognized with the Molly Pritchard Award from the United States Army for her volunteer service. She has also lent her expertise to vital causes, serving on the Human Trafficking Board in Memphis and the Women’s Prison Ministry for the Shelby County Correction Center. Her dedication to the next generation was further recognized when she received the “I am She” award for her work with the Young Women Mentoring Program.

Ministry & Leadership

With a heart for both the local church and the broader community, Lady Corrie previously served as the Director of Abraham’s Tent Food Ministry in Cayce, Mississippi. She is also a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Her passion for discipleship has led her to serve in numerous capacities, ranging from Noah’s Park Children’s Sunday School and Awana’s Children’s Ministry to Church Growth and Leadership Development. A visionary leader, she has utilized her spiritual gifts to establish several impactful programs, including:
